The latest Fox News poll indicates that most American voters continue to side with Israel in its war with Hamas. The poll, which was conducted from May 8-11, revealed that U.S. voters overwhelmingly blame Hamas for the war, with 68% believing that Hamas is the one primarily responsible for the conflict, while only 27% blame Israel.
Respondents to the poll also showed strong sentiment in favor of American allies in the region, with 82% favoring Israel and just 8% in favor of Hamas. This indicates that Americans are still highly supportive of Israel and its policies, despite the raging conflict in the region.
The poll also showed that Americans are divided on the issue of the recent fighting and ceasefire between Hamas and Israel. Those surveyed were split on whether the ceasefire agreement will hold, with 45% believing that it will hold and 44% believing that it will not. However, most people surveyed seemed to agree that the recent violence in the area was tragic, with 73% saying that it caused too much death.
This poll is a sign that, despite the recent conflict between Israel and Hamas, American voters still largely favor the Israeli government and its policy of defending its people. It’s also clear that Americans are not willing to forgive Hamas for its role in the conflict, with most blaming it for the bloodshed and destruction that ensued.
